Sprinkles - they're attractive and that's what made me want Christina Tosi's Momofuku Milk Bar cookbook. The way she can make an unpretentious layered cake look good without decorating is my kind of cake. Having baked this birthday cake several times, we decided to change it up by using pink sprinkles instead of the confetti mix and somehow, the colouring melted turning it into the pink cake. Visually on point, frosting was delicious but the cake was a bit dry possibly due to binge watching Riverdale instead of adjusting the egg-timer. Revelation: we can't Netflix and bake.
